About me
Matt Zelkowitz, managing principal of Available Light’s Boston Studio, brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished career focused on crafting lighting solutions for both architectural and museum exhibit projects. For 20+ years he has worked to integrate theatrical lighting techniques into the built environment, creating architectural spaces that are functional, thoughtful, sustainable, and engaging.
Matt, who holds an MFA in stage design from NYU, has always displayed a curiosity and desire to explore diverse design aesthetics. He is dedicated to minimizing ecological footprints while crafting visually stunning spaces that cater to human needs.
A member of the IALD and IES, Matt has a been a vital part of the Available Light since 2001. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in the success of numerous award-winning projects, including Analog Devices’ new World Headquarters & Campus, the International Spy Museum, and the Amherst College New Science Building, which earned the prestigious 2020 IES Award of Merit.
