Matt Mills is a highly accomplished lighting designer, director, and programmer with over twenty years of experience in the live events industry. Renowned for his innovative work with high-profile artists both domestically and internationally, Matt seamlessly blends creativity with technical expertise. His exceptional ability to collaborate with technical crews enables him to plan, problem-solve, and troubleshoot effectively while preserving the artistic integrity of his designs.
Matt’s impressive portfolio encompasses a diverse array of projects, including major national and international concert tours, themed attractions, touring theatre productions, television shows, and corporate events. He began his touring career as the Lighting Designer for the Grammy-nominated rock band 3 Doors Down and has since worked with iconic artists such as Mötley Crüe, KoRn, Sammy Hagar, Disturbed, and Linkin Park, among many others.
A self-proclaimed “technology geek,” Matt is passionate about emerging trends in the events industry and consistently strives to stay ahead of the curve. He has established himself as a leading expert in the U.S. for Follow Me, a cutting-edge remote follow spot system.
In late 2017, Matt took on a new challenge as Partner & Lighting Designer at Touch Light & Media, where he manages the design requirements for hundreds of high-profile corporate events each year. His journey reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence in lighting design and a deep love for the ever-evolving landscape of live events.
