About me
Barry is a broadcast and systems engineer with over 30 years of design and engineering, commissioning, and practical broadcast experience.
In 2015 Barry started teaching on an adjunct basis at CUNY NYC College of Technology (CityTech). The first class was Video Systems and then the Show Networking class was added in 2023.
The goal of educating and mentoring is three-fold: To educate the next generation, pay it forward, and find the next generation of live event talent.
Grossman transitioned from broadcast production to engineering during the startup of CNBC in 1989 – he was part of the commissioning team at the first CNBC studio facility.
Additional studio projects include ESPN SportsCenter DC1 and DC2 as well as the Fox Business studio and core integration for the 2016 election. The management of ESPN recognized Grossman for outstanding client service and support.
Arena projects include the floor projection system at Madison Square Garden – integrating with the existing arena core.
Additional experience includes broadcast consulting and broadcast style integration for streaming and live events.
