This two-day survey on Thursday, December 5 and Friday, December 6 covers the essentials of entertainment rigging for theatres, concert halls, studios, churches, and schools.

Fundamentals are the building blocks, so get a solid foundation or reinforce your knowledge in this essential two-day course that provides an understanding of structures, a knowledge of hardware, some math skills, an appreciation for safety, and a whole lot of common sense. Look at rigging from all angles!

ETC Eos Console Training - Enhanced Skills (Level 2)

Ready to move beyond the basics with your Eos family console? Taught on the new Eos Apex console, Level 2 goes beyond the basics covered in our Level 1 training class. This class will get you going with additional features and functions of your console and get you on your way to programming like a pro. Topics covered in this class are Display Layouts and Workspaces including Snapshots, Palettes and Presets, Direct Selects, Discrete Timing and Multipart Cues, Relative and Absolute Effects, working with multi-cell fixtures and moving lights, and basic Magic Sheets.

Prerequisites: Attendees should have prior experience with an Eos family lighting console. Level 1 is generally recommended before taking Level 2. Online classes are available at: https://learningstage.etcconnect.com/

ETC Hog 4 Console Training
Friday December 6, 2024 9:30am - Saturday December 7, 2024 5:30pm PST
This 2-day intermediate course covers the Hog 4 control software which is used on the Hog 4, Full Boar 4, Road Hog 4, Hedgehog 4, and Hog 4PC. This hands-on class will use an industry standard Hog 4 Console connected to Capture visualization software. The class covers most parts of the console software including the new color handling features of v4.0, and plenty of time allotted for questions and general practice time.
Prerequisites: Attendee should have prior experience with automated luminaires and a general familiarity with lighting consoles. In addition, they should have working knowledge of the DMX 512 communication protocol, fixture addressing, and patching. Some previous Hog 4 experience is highly recommended but not required.

Day 1 offers an introduction or review section, covering navigation, patching, and palettes to cue lists and playback options.
